New Album

I have a new album in my gallery now. It is called Glow Effects. I hope everyone likes it. I'll continue adding more too it so keep checking back. Thanks!

glowing and lighting effects

I'm just working on the blending options with photoshop, playing with glowing edges and lighting effects. here is what i came up with. Eventually i'll add some more and make a gallery for everyone to see them, so stay tuned, and i'll keep everyone posted.

iPhone

I've spent the last two days working on making an iphone in photoshop and then figuring out how to generte the HTML fo that my music player would be inside it. my iphone isn't perfect i'll keep working on it though and one day i'll make it more realistic, but for the most part I'm prety proud of myself. If anyone has suggestions on how I can make it look better I'd love to hear them.

Stumble Upon

A while ago now my cousin showed me this site called StumbleUpon. Next to facebook it could perhaps be the most addicting thing on the internet. For those of you who have not heard of it is basically Pandora for website. You choose catagories that interest you and then click stumble and it take you to a random site that corresponds with your interests. Amazing right!? well I've found some pretty awesome stuff on there. Tutorials for photoshop and just hilarious videos. Well I thought I would share a tutorial I found. It is how I learned to create the fire I did my header in.  So here is the link. Enjoy. WildFire

Uncharted 3

I recently found out there is going ot be an Uncharted 3. To my wife this is of absolutley no importance but to me, well that is a whole different story. It is my favorite game and the may have some influence on out furture. I've known for a while now I want and art degree. I am offically a Graphic Design Major however what I want to do with the skills I am learning changes frequently. I kind of like that really, Just that there is so much freedom. However I have been getting kind of neverous about what my carreer choice will be. Playing Uncharted has given me just one more idea about where I could take my career. No, not fortune hunting, (though that would be amazing, and I did discover Atlantis while playing LIFE with some friends back in Utah) but video game design. I have always loved video games so what better than to have a job of creating the artwork for them. Anyways, noone reads this so I'll just shut up now.

ps. I have a great wife!

sorry

hey everyone/anywho who looks at my blog.  Sorry it has been so long since I've put up a post. I've been busy with finals, and moving from Springville, UT to Savannah, GA.  I have been working on some stuff though. just learning a few things. I'm working on lighting things on fire. so this is just a demo, i'll put a actul picture up in a few days. Enjoy this in the mean time.

Birthday

So today is my birthday. I'm 23. Crap! That seems super old to me. Kate and I have been doing a lot of thinking, and praying, and we've decided to move to Georgia. We think it will better for me to go to school and easier for her to get a job. Hopefully everything works out and we are happy but it's starting to get scary. It's a big decision and it would be hard to fix once we do it if it's not what w should really do. well. Happy Birthday to myself.

Spring&Fall

This is my newest creation. I didn't take the picture but the editing is all me. I'm not one for naming things so this is just spring and fall.

NEW GALLERY

i just put up a new photo album, it's called landscapes/cityscapes. It's a small collection of photos i've taken from around utah, and arizona. enjoy.

SPOOKY

I got an assignment to do a scary photoshoot, so since my wife enjoys doing make-up we decided to have a little fun with this project. If you wanna see the whole album check out the gallery Dead&Gone.

BLOG HELL

i've spent the last 4 days trying to make my blog look perfect, clean and professional. I don't think i've succeeded just yet but i think i'm getting close. i hope that whoever sees it likes what they see. that's it for tonight, no more blogging till tomorrow comes.

CONCERT

i went to an epic concert a few nights ago with my friend Trevin and cousin Nate. we saw valencia, saves the day, motion city soundtrack, say anything and then since saves the day and say anything were there they did two tongues for the first time live. here are a few photos.

CITYSCAPES

I had an assignment a while back to shoot some cityscapes so while waiting for kate to land in salt lake i took some time to cruise around the city on my longboard and snap a few photos. these were my favorites.

this one is actually just behind our place

cool archway in salt lake

fire hydrant with stairs slightly out of focus

main street from outside the gate of the temple

PHOTOSHOP

So for my first post these are just a few things I've made in photoshop in the few weeks I've had it.

This first one is actually a tattoo my friend asked me to design the tree.

I was just messing around with the features in photoshop and created this "space-scape" [is the a real thing?]

Lastly this one was actually a project in my 2D Design class.

IF YOU'RE NOT FIRST YOU'RE LAST

So this is just my introduction to what this whole blog thinger is about. I'm going to start using it to show my photography, and artwork. I hope everyone who "stumbles" upon it enjoys it and if you do like it tell someone about it. I'm a graphic design major and am just starting out and thought this would be a good way to get my name out. Anyways enough blabbering. Hope you like what you see.
