17th Century Watercolor

This is just a watercolor in my sketchbook I've been working on. I took a picture for each value added. This is what I ended up with.

Logo

I have finally done it. I officially have a logo. I love it. I can do so much with it. It is simple, and contemporary and most of all reflects me and the work I do. Tell me what you think.

Benday Dots

I got a homework assingment to take an image I already had and make look like it was made with benday dots. I've put up my image (my face) and a professional one from Roy Lichtenstein who was made famous from his use of benday dots.

Now I'm finished! It was a little bit of a nightmare but, one I enjoyed. Weird I know but it was relaxing and kind of theraputic to work on such small details. I have never done a reflective or tin surface before but I think I pulled it off prety well. You tell me though. 

Graphite

I've been working on a graphite drawing for about a week and half now and I wasn't going to put it up till it was fully finished but I feel I owe it to my readers to put something new up and since I don't really have anything else right now I'm going to show you all what I have so far. keep in mind I took the photo on my iphone which is still only the 3gs. Mock if you must, I'm waiting till apple realeases their new phone with the new software and possibly, I have heard, better camera. I'll put a finished one up when the time comes but this should tide you all over.

Musical Interpretation

The song I chose to interpet is from Breathe Carolina's new album Hell Is What You Make It. I love the whole album and this song is just amazing. I hope you enjoy the song as much as I do but mostly I hope you love my work. I'm pretty proud of this one. 

6 Color Harmonies

In color theory I had this project to use 6 color harmonies to create a harmonies outcome.  I chose to use the skull I had used before but in black and white. This is what I came up with. enjoy.

There is a downside to all this drawing I've been doing. My pointer and middle finger are slowly wearing away. 

Step by Step continued...

Well I was right, my professor extened the deadline so I've worked a bit more on this drawing. The conduit stuff has been a hassle/nightmare but I'm finally getting it. It's still not finished but I have the drawing going in the direction I want. Also you may notice that color is different, I took the picture this time with the actual lights on insted of just the studio lights.

Okay this drawing is due tomorrow morning, (that's Tuesday, July 12). I really could find a million things still not finished but from what I've gathered my professor will let us keep working on them, but this all I could manage to fit in before the due date.

Here is day three. I didn't actually have class today, I just went in to get some more done. I worked on the cable mostly then just some little adjustment here and there.

As promised here is what I accomplished in today's class. I really like the way it is shaping up. I worked a lot on the lamp, chest and two spheres today. I'm dreading that piping but I'll probably get to it tomorrow. 

Step by Step

I had this epiphany while I was in my drawing 2 class today. It was the first day we started work on our charcoal drawings, and I thought it would be cool if at the end of each day of work on my drawing I took a picture and put them up on my blog. Once I finish I will have a step by step of the creation. Anyways this is the first day.

TRON

My brother-in-law who is 7 is on a TRON kick. He talks about it all the time and just got a new Wii video game. I decided I'd make this for him. It's not perfect but I think it's pretty sweet looking.

Savannah College of Art and Design

I am finally enrolled in classes at SCAD and have almost done my first week. I bought most of my supplies today not books just supplies and it was around $200. Just a little steep i think but i'm hoping it will be worth it. I'm sure it will be. I got really luck and SCAD ccepted all my credit hours from the other schools I've been to and I am a sophmore and should be a junior next quarter. stoked about that! I'm taking drawing 2, color theory and public speaking. should be a good quarter. anyways that's enough a bout my life. peace!

A Doodle

This is a doodle I've been working on and forgot about and started to work on some more. I using an image by Drew Brophy I remembered seeing once. I really like his work and would love to do more surf lifestyle pieces. We shall see what the future holds.

Eloquent Graffiti

So my wife's computer has taken a turn for the worst and has now been at Best Buy for something like a month and she has commandeered mine during the day while I'm at work.  That being said she has been playing with my Photoshop/Illustrator and has starting making some prints and opened an ETSY shop. Facelift

I'm giving my blog a facelift and updating it's readers with what i feel is import news... I got accepted to SCAD and could not be more ecstatic and proud of myself. I was also offered a preferred walk on position on the baseball team and I'm trying to turn that into some scholarship money. It feels so good that the whole reason we moved out here, and took such a huge leap of faith is starting to pay off.
